History

It all began in Alpirsbach-Peterzell in the heart of the beautiful Black Forest and the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg in 1984, when Wolfgang and Klaus Riegert once manufactured vendor parts for regional industry. Today the family-owned company has 65 employees and has successfully built up a worldwide sales network for recycling and processing plants. 1984

Foundation of the company by Wolfgang and Klaus Riegert. Vendor parts are manufactured for regional industry.

1985

First in-house development: Return machine for beverage cans with an integrated press.

1986

Development of waste crushers. 8 people are employed.

1988

Set-up of sales offices in Austria and Switzerland.

1989

Reconstruction of the company building in Alpirsbach-Peterzell. 12 employees.

1990

Set-up of sales offices in Scandinavia and Japan.

1991

ARP offers complete process plant construction for chip disposal systems as well as waste and recycleable materials.

1992

Development of the ARP above-floor chip clearance system, construction of pumps, shredders and vacuum extraction systems. 35 employees.

1994

Set-up of the company’s own service team, 30 people employed.

1996

The company premises extended by a production shop.

2000

Development of the first aluminium chip recycling plant.
The 3000th machine is shipped to Japan.

2002

The 4000th machine leaves the factory.

2006

Foundation of the ARP of Americas in Waterford, Michigan, USA.
The 5000th machine leaves the factory.

2008

Beginning of the construction work for extension of the office and production areas. ARP employs 65 people.

2009

Official opening of the new offices and the large production shop.

2010

ARP develops and builds its first fully automatic aluminium recycling system.
The 6000th machine leaves the factory.

2011

2011 ARP GmbH & Co. KG receives the Environmental Technology Award in the “Material Efficiency” category.
